I've been babysitting my best friend's child since he was born six years ago.
I did an internship at The Humane Society during the Summer of 2010. Camp Muddy Paws was for children age 6-10, which gave campers a chance to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals through lessons around responsible pet guardianship, veterinary care, and community volunteerism. The main goal of the camp was to teach children consideration, respect and how to care for all types of animals. The internship lasted 5 consecutive weeks, each week consisting of 40 hours of work.

I was also a volunteer for Imagine in 2010 as well. The program was dedicated to helping individuals with developmental delays and cognitive disabilities, of all ages, lead more fulfilling lives. I led art and craft projects, socialized, help clients participate in fun events, and assisted with light food preparation and cleaning. The main goal of my volunteer work was to gain an understanding of the mental, physical, and social changes associated with disabled populations.

In addition, I was the Lyons High School assistant softball coach in 2005. I traveled and participated in girls practice/games. I taught basic fundamentals of the game and physical and mental strength skills.

And lastly, I was in an Early Childhood Professions Program in 2004 where I completed 50 hours of practical supervised laboratory experience as part of the Vocational Occupational Curriculum for the St. Vrain Valley School District RE-1J.
