I work currently for a Neurosurgeon and his daughter who is 9 years old. They are moving to Canada this summer, and although he has asked me to accompany them, my life is here. I have worked for them for 6 years now as a nanny, a housekeeper, cook, driver-whatever this family has needed, I have been there for them and taken care of all details. I also took care of the doctor's wife, a Neurologist, who had cancer and, sadly, died 3 years ago. I was taught many medical in home procedures, and this was much more than a job-these people have been my family. The wife became a great friend. Through all her trials we laughed, prayed and took great joy in every day. I do believe I brought much love, compassion, patience and understanding into their daughters life. We are very bonded and always will be.
