Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to work with children. I find great enjoyment and fulfillment in caring for children and seeing the world through their innocent eyes. It is my passion to help children have the purely joyful, as well as safe and protected, childhood that we should all have.

Babysitting is something I have been doing since I was age six, and I have held three nanny jobs during my summers off from college. My first summer working as a nanny I watched a little boy, age 5. Daily arriving at 7 a.m. , I was responsible for providing his lunch, as well as various activities to keep his day busy, fun-filled, and educational. The next two summers, I worked for the same family, watching two little girls, ages newborn to 4. There, I often helped out around the house, provided meals, and again brought toys, books, and activities to engage, educate, and entertain. I also worked closely with their mother when she was working from home or when we went to horse shows. I still remain the family's "on-call" babysitter when the family is in town during the summer months.

Because I have long been interested in enriching the lives of children, I also took various electives while in college to increase my knowledge of educating and working with children. These courses included a parenting class, a children's literature class, and an early childhood education class, which included working in an on-site preschool.
