I have had some sort of task in caring for children all of my life. From an early age I have helped care for my behaviorally challenged sister and have cared for my autistic sister for almost 11 years now. I also have worked with my cousin's children more recently. They are 1, 5, and 7. The oldest two have ODD, the oldest is the more challenged of the two. And we have learned what works in communicating with each other. I feel a strong connection with children and feel we can work out together with the parents to figure out what works best and have some fun along the way.
