I started babysitting when I was 16 years old at a Church for a Mother's Day Out event. I babysat 6-weeks to 8-month-old babies with another adult every Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. I stayed with this for four years along with volunteering at the Adventure Science Center, a children's center. At 16, I also took care of the toddlers (ages one - six), at my Church and still do by myself. I would be with the kids every Wednesday and every other Sunday. I started volunteering at the Adventure Science Center when I was 11. I would help with summer camps of all different grades from kindergarten to 7th grade. At age 16, I became employed and I am still working in Customer Service. Pretty much most of my life I have been in some type of position of taking care of children. I have also had experience with counseling in Girl Scouts. I have been a counselor for many camps and I have also been a counselor for my own high school troop at a High School and I also am assistant counselor for a brownie troop at my Church.
