It all started when I was 12; I would babysit my 6-month-old and 7-year-old cousins. That lasted for about 4 years until the youngest began daycare. Throughout high school I watched a mentally challenged 14-year-old boy for one of my school teachers who was newly single and needed help. That was once a week for nearly 2 years. Before I entered college, I worked at a daycare. There, I was placed in the infant-toddler room where I was in charge of 5-9 babies at a time. Most of the time I was alone caring for them. As a teacher-aide there, we were required to know every child regardless of age. During outdoor playtime, the teaching-aides watched over and took care of all age-groups. I am particularly good with working with infant-toddlers. Older children I am also good with, though I am very attentive and interactive, which is more necessary at the younger age. I will be available Mon-Fri until August 22nd due to my return to college.
