I have had many years of care giving, beginning in my early teenage years and throughout my lifetime. When I lived in Illinois from 2005 to 2007, I was a nursery care worker for infants and toddlers in my church. At this age, they are especially curious and and are eager to learn about the world around them. I am an especially caring and observant person, thus I am able to sense the child's needs and do what is necessary to meet those needs. In July, 2012, I was a teacher in Vacation Bible School and am currently a Sunday school teacher. I was a counselor from 1990 to 1997. The position that I enjoyed most as a counselor was the role of teacher. I love to learn and then explain this information to others in a very useful and practical manner. I believe this gift for teaching as well as my kind, engaging personality, assist me in building relationships with children quickly, as well as them feeling comfortable and safe with me. I cared for my elderly mother in my home for 3.5 years, which is the most rewarding job of my life. Through this experience, I realized how much I enjoyed care giving thus I would like to now invest my time and energy into taking care of a toddler.
