I've spent most of my life caring for and loving children. I am a mother, grandmother, and retired teacher. I delight in being with children as they explore their world and connect with the people around them. I find their strengths easily, and nurture them so that they can develop. I am patient in giving guidance and supporting self-esteem. Children know that I like them, and they feel good about themselves when they are with me. When my son was young, I cared for nursery school aged children in my home. During my teaching career, I taught elementary and secondary students, often students who had special needs. My teaching certifications are Elementary, Special Ed, and Literacy Specialist. Two years ago, when I retired from 32 years of teaching, I moved to Watertown, MA, so that I could help care for my granddaughter. Since then, I have also provided elder care, tutoring and babysitting in client's homes.
