I am currently employed with a wonderful family Monday-Friday but would be interested in providing care for occasional night or weekends out!

Hi everyone! Here is a little bit about myself, my name is Jamie and I am 23. I just moved to the Philadelphia area and I attended West Virginia University the fall after my high school graduation. While at WVU, I became a member of a sorority, where I was appointed Director of Community Service. While I was Director of Community Service I organized over 500 hours of community service for the sisters to participate in, some of the organizations we worked with were Head Start, Boys and Girls Club of America and the Animal Friends. I was also a member of Student Advocates for Invisible Children. I was Committee Head for the Invisible Children Book Drive and we placed top 50 in the nation for collecting the most textbooks. I also volunteered on the Pediatrics floor at a hospital.

A little bit about my education and experiences with children. I graduated in May 2012 with a Degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Birth-Pre-K. I have my certification in Special Education and I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I have sent in my papers for teaching certification in WV and am waiting to get those back to apply in PA. This past spring semester, I completed my student teaching in an inclusive public preschool, which I absolutely loved. I had 18 students in my classroom, three of the children had special needs, and 14 of them were in the Head Start Program. I really enjoyed spending the day with all of the children and miss them so much! Two years ago, I had an infant internship at a Child Development Center. The past two years, I have babysat for a set of twin girls, they were 11 months when I started and they will turn four in April. I enjoyed watching them grow and helping them reach their developmental milestones. I am very close with their family, I see them as my family away from home. I am a very nurturing, creative, and patient person and knew I wanted to work with children from a young age.
