I have volunteered in the nursery (newborn - 24 months) at Faith Family Church since I was 14 years old. I did get paid for special church events, other than Sunday mornings when they needed workers. I worked for Americorps for one summer; I was stationed at the Downtown Belleville YMCA Outdoor Center as a day camp counselor (ages 6 - 12). They then hired me to work at the YMCA's teen/tween center and children's center (ages 6 weeks - 12 years). I worked there for 3 years, along with day camp counseling during the summer months. Day camp was my favorite because we were outside a lot, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and swimming.
