Children are so amazing. Their imaginations, joy and carefree nature make them a pleasure to be around. Every since high school, I have been lucky enough to work with several different families, babysitting and looking over their precious ones when the parents may not have the chance. I have watched children as young as 6 months and as old as 13 years making sure they follow their daily routine, while also adding in some exercise and playtime, fun and healthy snacks, and exciting yet educational activities. While children are my main focus, I am also willing to help around the house with cooking and cleaning.
During high school and during the summers in-between my college semesters, I worked as a camp counselor through schools and churches, being responsible for a large group of children during lunch and snack time, game time and arts and crafts.
I also spent time tutoring children in a variety of subjects, including Math, English and Science. I believe that I child is never to young to learn, so whether your kids of are school age or not, I would do my best to incorporate activities that would stimulate and challenge their minds.
In my free time, when I am not working to pay the bills, I love to spend time with my younger cousins, ages 5, 7, 10 and 13, and my gorgeous 7-month-old nephew.
I believe that kids should have fun and embrace their childhood, and as a babysitter, I will ensure that your child is well looked over, while also making certain they are having a good time. My specialties are arts and crafts, reading and cooking/baking. If I had the chance to contribute to your family dynamic, I would engage the children and not just stand as someone to look over them, but as a person they can have fun with and grow.
Letting someone into your home and the lives of your children is a huge step, so I want to assure parents that I am an educated, responsible and dependable adult, with a perfect driving record and the utmost respect for your parenting methods.
