I am a fun-loving online college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. I have taken various Psychology courses with an extreme emphasis on infants through adolescents. I understand greatly the developmental stages of children and how to encourage their growth. Not only do I have book knowledge, I have personal experiences. I understand the most important thing to a parent is the care and treatment of their child(ren) while they are away! I can assure you that any child within my eyesight is properly supervised. I like to give families the peace of mind they deserve while away from each other. Most recently, I have worked as an nanny for two girls, ages 6 and 13. My duties were as follows: waking and dressing the younger girl, fixing breakfast, walking to/from bus stop, light cleaning, some errands, homework help, reading time/letter play with younger girl, meal preparation, transporting girls to and from daily activities. I also previously worked as an assistant daycare teacher in Chicago's South Loop. I am experienced with working with up to 6 children alone at a time, but I prefer 4 at most. I have never lost a child under my care. I am very observant and will put your child's safety first! I have called to report suspicious activities around playgrounds or on streets. I am very hands-on and keep your child/children engaged with numbers, letters, colors and singalongs daily. I also like children to feel like they are a part of the world around them. I have taken children to Navy Pier for performances, Millennium Park, beaches, and various museums all around Chicago and its suburbs. I have a clean driving record; I am a very safe and cautious driver. I am also First Aid and CPR/infant CPR certified! I am an excellent cook and I truly enjoy baking treats. I am very health conscious when it comes to meal preparation and snack time. I am very patient during feeding time and overcoming food stubbornness. If you're looking for after school care, I will meet your child at home or at school promptly each day needed. I will provide homework and project help for your child. I truly believe each child is a unique being and I cater to their personalities. I am here to enrich your child/children's life and hopefully your family's life.
