I have two nieces who I used to care for frequently but have since moved to New York. In my teens and through my undergraduate education I babysat frequently, took community courses in childcare, and maintained Red Cross certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Instruction (these certifications have since expired but the skills remain). I am exceedingly professional and patient while maintaining a level of energy and encouragement necessary for caring for children. I do not raise my voice and very rarely show anger or frustration. I am able to help with most homework, do light to moderate housework, and prepare simple meals. I speak limited Spanish and French and am learning Arabic. I have taught English language learners.
