I started babysitting in 5th grade and still continue to today. I am now a senior at UConn. I have always been passionate about working with kids, during the school year I occasionally help out at a pre school and babysit and during the summer I work at a nature camp for ages three to six. I have also been babysitting for my younger sister, who was born when I was 10 and helping take care of her is always something I enjoy. I am very patient and have watched a verity of different kids and age groups. I have recently starting mentoring for Waterbury Youth Services- Making a Connection Mentoring and am currently interning at a Hartford Organization Youth United for Survival, where I work with kids(8-16) in a school setting/after school programs who have dealt with some type of trauma. It is challenging but everyday is different and I could not ask for a better place to intern.
