The kids and I are busy, busy! Just this month alone we've been bowling, Recreations Outlet, to Woodland Mound, Juliff's Park, making bird feeders, and planting seeds for our Vegetable/Flower gardens. I am interested in exposing the children to new and different adventures every week. I have memberships to most of the Cincinnati museums and attractions and make monthly trips to each. There is lots of outdoor play with quiet time for reading to wind down the day. Respecting each other and fostering "giving" attitudes are highly encouraged and practiced. We baked doggy treats and delivered them to the local canine unit, as well as baked goodies and made a visit to the local fire station. They loved the green pancakes for Dr. Seuss' birthday this year! Teaching independence is key with me! Children have their own drawer with cups and plates. Everyone helps clean up by scraping their plates after meal times and putting them in the sink. From the 3-year-old to the oldest! Messes are okay! Just "take charge" and clean up is what I say!
I have been told many times I should have been a preschool teacher, I love hanging out with the kids and teaching them all sorts of things. My references will confirm that my house is a safe environment and more than just a building with a TV!
