I've been a professional nanny and family assistant since 2006. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. However, my true foundation in child care is from having hands-on experience as a teenager, helping raise my nephew and two younger sisters from the time they were infants. A few words to describe myself would be reliable, fun, personable, creative, organized, energetic, and calming. Multitasking should be my middle name!
My family, friends, dance, music, animals, food, laughing, and the outdoors are some of my favorites things. I love to read and tell stories, use my imagination, sing and have dance parties, art projects, play games, climb trees, go on adventures or create my own. Children gravitate towards me because I'm a big kid at heart, the child in me is still very alive! My many years working with children has given me the ability to connect with all ages, ranging from day old infants to teens. I'm very skilled at finding ways to turn conflict, such as homework or going to bed, into a fun and pleasant experience for everyone. I understand how hard it is for parents and children to be away from one another. I strive to help out with extra things around the house, so that when you return home, your focus can be where it's most important.
