Hi my name is India. I am 26 yrs old. I been taking care of newborns to preschoolers for 5 years+. As a nanny I have always had more than one child. I either nanny shared or a family had a new little one added to their family. My overall experience has been great not to sound cliche yet I really enjoy incorporating my time and teachings with younger children. When I have infants I work on their mobility and developmental skills. I encourage tummy time, reaching, strengthening their muscles, and hand-eye coordination skills. As well with my toddlers/preschoolers I place my mind frame to think like them in order for them to learn it includes sensory (water table, gardening, different textures), art (painting, fabrics, and projects), literature (circle time, songs, music, and reading books, letter recognition, and phonics). I try to really make learning fun for them. At this age its good to promote that hands on learning it helps them become confident to learn and become independent when they go off to school . Ive grown with most of my families until their kids went to preschool or kindergarten. The only time a family left is when they moved because of their job and when the mom was finish working and wanted to stay home full time. I still keep in contact with my families until this day. At Bright Horizons I was a Full time infant and toddler teacher for 2 yrs at their back up center. My room takes a lot of patient. I dealt with different families everyday and different ages. I worked with babies who are premature, acid reflex, hearing aids, down syndrome, and etc. I can handle 4 to 5 babies and toddlers at one time. Many of my parents were impressed for I communicate very well and I always kept an open door in my classroom. I want my families to be involved in my passion working with young children. I love to build new trustworthy relationships. Thank You!
