I am a former preschool teacher looking for evening and weekend babysitting opportunities as well as a full time nanny position if the right one comes along! I have always had a strong connection with children and believe in the value and importance of early childhood education. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual, finding out how they learn best, and planning learning activities accordingly. I worked as a live in nanny for five years, then did summer care for the same family the following two years. After that, I was a nanny to my infant nephew for a year and then his foster parent from the time he was 2 until he was almost 4. I went back to working in childcare after having my daughter in 2004, starting as a teacher assistant at a preschool, then moving on to become a teacher in 2006. I earned a CDA (Child Development Associate)with an Infant/Toddler specialization in 2011 and have current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid. Right now I work as an administrative assistant at my church and do babysitting for several families on nights and weekends. I love working with children and consider it my life's work.
