My name is Heejung and I am currently an incoming senior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. By Spring 2012, I am hoping to earn a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Music Education.

Through my Elementary and Early Childhood program in the College of Education, I have interned in a 1st grade classroom at an Academy (Fall 2011) and a preschool (4 - 5 years old) classroom at the University of Hawai'I at Manoa's Children Center (Spring 2012).

I am currently employed as an art, music, and preschool readiness program teacher where I teach and interact with children from birth to 5 years old (Summer 2010 - Present).

I am an active member at the church and volunteer as a teacher on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Through this volunteer work, I have taught and cared for children from birth to children in 6th grade.

In 2008 - 2009, I was a teacher's aide in a 3-year-old preschool classroom. I have also worked as a tutor teaching reading, writing, and math to children from preschool to 8th grade (Summer 2009 - Fall 2010).
