I have been caring for children for over 8 years, providing care as supervision for children as young as 4 years old. I also have a few months experience working with a young girl with Autism. My experience in providing child care started when friends and neighbors asked that I provide babysitting services. This experience and the recommendation of the people that I worked for allowed me to gain additional experience with families that I had not previously worked with. In addition to my babysitting experience, I have also been a camp counselor at Girl Scout Camps for many years. This provided me with valuable experience in leading young girls in a full day of activities while dealing with their interactions, both positive and negative. I have been volunteer teaching at my dance studio for many years. This involved me keeping the children on task, making bathroom runs and demonstrating and instructing on dance steps. While I believe that summer is a time for outdoor fun and many activities, I also believe that certain educational aspects are important as well. Working on relevant Math and reading skills is important to ensure that summer is not only entertaining, but also productive. I look forward to hearing from you.
