I am a full time nursing student. I absolutely love children and spending time with them, just not ready to have my own yet. I enjoy teaching them and watching them grow. I think that learning should be fun. To be up front, I am not one of those babysitters who will put the kids in front of the TV and go do my own thing on the computer. I am involved in their lives, not only babysitting, but attending birthday parties, sporting events, and school functions. I really try to form lasting relationships with the families I sit for. I currently babysit for several families and they all have at least two children. They range in age from 6 months -16. I usually babysit 3-4 nights per month. However, I have done many overnight babysitting jobs for families. I have watched children for up to 10 days at their home while their parents participated in a fishing tournament in Florida. This involves all aspects of childcare and running the household; preparing meals, taking care of their three dogs, helping with homework, ensuring that the children made the bus, driving them to activities, etc. I have done this at least a dozen times. I am hardworking, a non-smoker, and have a clean driving record. I hope to one day be a nurse in pediatrics. I am CPR certified, I took the class as it's a requirement for school. I also have background checks and child abuse clearance (another requirement for school). I can provide references. I have been with these families for years, so I have experience with infants and toddlers. I have a dog of my own, so no worries there.
