I started babysitting at the age of 11 and continued until after high school, I worked at a daycare center briefly, and then went on to be a nanny for approximately two to three years while attending school.
After college, I worked as a residential counselor for children 5 to 11 and 11 to 18-year-old's at different company group homes.
I have had a very varied amount of experience working with children. I have worked with mostly every age child from newborn to 17 year' s old, and have worked with multiples (twins and triplets) with and without siblings.
I have also worked with children with different disabilities, included but not limited to Down' s syndrome, Autism, and both behavioral and cognitive difficulties. My mother and sister are bother special education teachers with Masters' Degrees, and my mother works with Aspergers children, so I would have a fantastic resource at my disposal.
I have a criminal background check done and I recently had a TB shot because they are required to teach.
I was previously certified in CPR and First Aid when I was a lifeguard working with two to 5-year-old's instructively and all ages in general. I also competed in swimming from the age of 7 up through and including college if you happen to be looking for summer care.
I am also very comfortable with pets; I had a lab mix, and currently have a Jug; wish I could attach pics, but I'll try to add one to my profile.
