Through my high school and college years, I have babysat for a couple of family friends. Though these families have been beneficial for my experience with handling small children, volunteering as a childcare provider at a shelter for domestic violence victims and their children has given me the most experience. During their mother's meetings at the shelter, I was responsible for children aged anywhere from newborn to preteen years for at least an hour at a time. I have also volunteered as a childcare provider for a shelter for children removed by social services from their negative living situations. Currently, I am employed full-time as a nanny for a beautiful 7-month-old girl and brilliant 2-year-old boy.
