I love kids. I've babysat for many years and nannied for three, and just graduated with teacher certification in elementary education and a degree in language arts. I'm looking for a chance to care for and play with some kids in addition to my full-time job. I've worked in church nurseries with kids up to about 5 years old; during the school year, I volunteer with "crawlers" (babies crawling and learning to walk) weekly at the kids' ministry in my church. I get along well with most children-babies to 12-year-olds. I can do everything from entertaining kids for a few hours to involved arts and crafts or homework help in addition to cooking dinner and housekeeping. I like to bring children's books, playdoh, markers, and those sorts of things to play with. I'm a fan of pretend play and dress-up too. I'd rather not sit and watch a movie, but there's a time and a place for doing that too, especially if the kids want to share a favorite movie with me. I've got a lot of experience, with happy children, squabbling siblings, and upset babies-I like to think I've seen most of the spectrum. As a future teacher, I love it all, even the hard parts.
