I will be attending Teachers College at Columbia University in Manhattan in September, 2012 for a Masters Degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Childhood Education. I have had many years of experience in childcare as a babysitter and in working with children as a tutor and Teacher's Assistant. I also have two younger siblings (twin boy/girl) for whom I have been the designated babysitter since the age of 11, and it was definitely an amazing learning experience.

I love being around children and interacting with them through teaching and learning, reading and telling stories, playing board games, and running around outside. I am bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, and one of my college majors was French. I studied abroad in Paris for my junior year, during which I also volunteered as a part-time Mandarin Teacher at an elementary school. Last year, I was in Beijing, China working as a college consultant and SAT teacher. I have many hobbies ranging from reading popular science, playing classical piano (in which I've had 17 years of experience), singing, learning new languages, traveling, playing badminton.
