Hi, I am 21 years old and currently attend Temple University. I am studying Early Childhood Education and plan to become a preschool or elementary teacher. I have babysat for several different families with children from the ages of newborn to 11-years-old. I am currently working in a preschool as a Jumpstart Corps Member. My duties include assisting the teacher, working with children (ages 4-5), and providing sessions/teaching students using lesson plans. I am also currently taking education courses which include hands-on field work in a second grade classroom. During high school, I took a Child Development Course which gave me hands-on experience in working with children between 3 and 5 years old and inspired me to become a teacher. Prior to working with young children, I worked at a nursing home for a year and a half and tutored middle school students. I am super passionate about working with children because I want to make a positive impact on our future adults and they remind me how important it is to have fun! Even though I am 21, I am just a mature big kid. :)
