I have been tutoring children and peers for 10 years. I have tutored through schools, after-school camps, and homeless shelters. I have volunteered my time tutoring and caring for children, but now I am seeking employment to establish a career. I have never babysat but I have have experience with not only tutoring, but caring for children and teens from ages 3-17. I have been a "substitute" youth pastor for Methodist and non-denominational churches. In those jobs, I had to cook for, play with, and teach a lesson to groups of children and teens ranging from smaller groups such as 8 to classroom size groups such as 25. I have had to take larger groups to activities like volunteering at homeless shelters and animal shelters. I have volunteered at after-school camps where I had to care for kids' safety, make activities for, play with, help with school work, counsel, and tutor. Although I am very comfortable with large groups of children and enjoying heading activities, I treasured the smaller groups because I had more one-on-one time with the kids.
