I have been babysitting for approximately 11 years. I have been a nanny full time at two different points in my life. At one point, I was the nanny for three children, a set of twins and their sister who was 13 months younger, all under age 1 and half. I later was a nanny for two children, 7 and 3. I did homework with the 7-year-old, ran errands for the mom, cooked, and laundry. I babysit for multiple families at night. I also have experience babysitting all day on weekends. I have also taken on the responsibility of babysitting for multiple families at a time. On more than one occasion, I have babysat for three families (5 children - ages 1 - 5) while parents attended football game in Oxford and Starkville. I become family with the families I babysit for and bond with each child in our own special bond. I truly love children and have a God given talent with them. I am confident in saying, I am good with children and have positive impacts on their lives. My ultimate goal with each family I babysit for is to be a babysitter. By saying this, I mean discipline constructively, advise, supervise, play with them, do crafty and fun projects, eliminate television time and encourage them to be kids, and more. The other goal, be their friend. I think that it is important if you want a child to love you and abide your rules, you must show them a friendship to gain the trust.
