I have little experience caring for children (aside from nephew), but have always had a special place in my heart for helping others; young, old and every age in between. I worked as a vet/kennel assistant at an animal clinic for almost two years, and fully understand the importance and necessity of being punctual, attentive, caring, compassionate, patient and happy. I would like to think I have a great bedside manner, as making people feel happy and comfortable is something I appreciate and really noticed on a personal level during my very first trip to the hospital at the age of six. One of the greatest joys of my day at my current job is greeting and listening to the elderly talk about their lives; if you lend a listening ear, they'll gladly talk for hours. It's a great feeling to be the recipient of all their wisdom and wondrous stories. I also get a very proud feeling, and feel as though I give some hope to my generation. Not a lot of younger people have the patience, better yet education and awareness, of their elders and those with a lower mentality. I like being the girl in a store full of youngsters, who actually shows compassion and interest, and I know they enjoy it too.
