When I was in high school I cared for my 2-year-old niece I bathed her, fed her, and gave her the attention she needed while her parents were away, children don't normally like when their parents are away so I would have to avert her attention to something else in the mean time while her parents were gone. I spent many years learning the body language of children and what they need when they need it whether or not they speak. I have a connection with children and they seem to enjoy my company, when I'm a regular sitter they are excited to have me, not shy and loathing. I've been through it all, without having kids of my own. My experience goes back to when I was 14, I am 19 now so in my 5 years I have learned a lot and have gathered a lot about the care of infants, children, and people of my own age I have significant knowledge to care for the things I care about.
