At age 12 I was certified by the Red Cross to be an "official babysitter" with CPR and other training. My first babysitting job was at age 12 for a few neighbors and one neighbor in particular had 3 children (at the time they were ages 8, 6, and 2) and I was their babysitter for three years, until the parents figured their oldest was now able to watch the younger kids. I AM employed part-time, but I would love to be a babysitter or even a nanny during the summer to help working parents while the kids are out of school.
