My Goal:
To provide quality child care contributing to a healthier society.
Being the mother of two and having the opportunity to be a full-time house wife and mother, I learned to understand the importance of being there for the little ones. I also learned that providing them with safe and loving care helps them grow emotionally and physically, strong and healthy. Now that my children are grown up and very much on their own, I tried to go back to my clerical skills, but I found out that children are what I feel most connected to. I come from a Christian family of 9 children, being the youngest. We grew up with family values and morals. Children are always first.
My professional experience as a Nanny:
In 2006, I began babysitting for a family in Cape Coral, Florida, for a total of 3 years. In 2010, my family and I moved to Houston due to my husband's job relocation. I am currently working full time.
From January 2006 to March 2009, full-time; two children (3 and 6 years of age). My responsibility was to take the 6-year-old to school and pick her up in the afternoons. I supervised both kids at home, fed them, bathed them, helped with homework and entertained them. I also helped with some light housework. In 2009 my employers relocated in another county in Florida, and I moved to Houston.
-March 2011 to present, occasional babysitting 2 children (2 and 5 years of age). I used to take care of the 2-year-old full time from the age of two months; and I helped in the afternoons with the 5-year-old as well, when she came from school. Due to financial changes in the household, now I only do occasional babysitting for them when necessary.
- April 24th, 2012 to present, full-time position until June 2013. The family will move to another state. I take care of a little boy, and I started when he was 3 months old. I make sure he is fed on time, changed regularly, I play with him, take him for walks and I take care of his laundry, nursing, and playing areas.
Note:
I am currently looking for a new position as a nanny to begin June 17th, preferably but not necessarily to take care of newborn babies. My goal is to engage in a serious, long term position with a family who is willing to build a strong relationship with me as part of their household, and as their child's care giver. I have references, certifications, and a valid Texas driver's license. I would also like to sign a one year contract to begin with and follow it according to Texas State Labor Law.
