I am a 21-year-old college graduate with a B. A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, living in Portland. I am looking for a care-giving job from May until the end of August. I have babysat for children of every age (infants to middle school ages) since I was in middle school, and just finished a job working with an 11-year-old with PDD-NOS, for the past 9 months. We worked on homework almost every day after school, so I can be helpful with school work, reading, and education. We also worked on daily routines, following directions, cleaning, sharing, and social interaction, and I have training in helping children who have developmental delays. I also worked with two children last year, ages 1 and 3, during the summer. I am energetic and outdoorsy and love every type of sport and activity outside, along with every type of arts and crafts project. I also play the guitar and violin and can be helpful in the music department, if needed. I have a dog and love pets (except for cats, extreme allergies), and used to volunteer at the animal shelter. I would be willing to help out with animals, as well.
