I discovered my penchant for care-giving the day I entered the work force as a camp counselor and after school care giver for 4 to 12-year-old children. During my undergraduate career, I worked as a job coach with developmentally disabled adults and spent my summers working with groups of adolescents, helping them write, film, and star in their own movies.

After college, I worked with troubled teens in a residential treatment center and continued to work with local children and teens, organizing group mural paintings and continuing with the movie experiences. I am currently in graduate school where I am working towards a degree in Expressive Therapy, in which I am learning to use the arts (music, dance, art, poetry, etc.) to increase mental and physical well-being. My most recent experience has been working as an expressive therapist with the elderly at a local nursing home. I look forward to bringing my experience and education to a family who values creativity, compassion, and growth.
