My professional experience with child care started in 1998 when I worked at a KinderCare center in the 3-year-old group. I later worked at an independent child care facility part-time when I was an undergraduate student. There I worked with children ranging in age from infant to age 8. More recently, I started teaching as a career in 2011 by earning a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I worked in a fifth grade classroom in Scituate during student teaching, and then taught 8th grade science in Quincy for the entire 2011-2012 school year. In addition, I currently work in the child care room at a local gym part-time. Aside from professional caregiver experience, I frequently watch the children of friends and family. I plan to return to teaching full time again in the fall, but I am available full time during the summer and would be willing to continue on part-time during the school year.
