When I was in high school I used to baby-sit. Since then I have baby-sat for several of my friends' children. My best friend has a 14 month old which I have helped her with since she was born. Although I do not have any children of my own, I have a 7-year-old nephew and a 5-year-old niece. I have a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field. At the beginning of this year I decided to make a career change. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I have my 40 hours child care training completed. I have local and state background checks which were recently performed. I worked with children age 6 weeks to walking for Village View Christian Academy from March 2010 to August 2010. I recently worked for Together for Children, Inc. as a substitute teacher. Children tend to warm up to me very easily. I enjoy spending time with them and helping them learn.
