Firstly, I love children. I am studying to become an elementary education teacher. I have taken a few classes for elementary education at Biola University (a small Christian school in California) and also Montreat College (in North Carolina) and am now in my senior year at University of Tampa. During my last year of high school, I was ahead and could graduate early, and decided to spend most of my time as an assistant teacher to the first grade at St. James Academy in Solana Beach, CA. I absolutely loved doing this and this helped confirm my desire to teach kids. As well as helping to teach, I also would help coach a girls U-9 competitive soccer team. I have played soccer my entire life and this was a great experience. I have also done a lot of babysitting. I have watched two sets of twin boys. Two 5-year-olds and two 8-year-olds, for three days at a time while the mother was on a business trip. I have also babysat a family of kids for about three years now. I recently stopped because I moved to Florida from California. They had a 7-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. As well as all my babysitting experience, I have helped out with my little cousin. I would watch him when he was 5 months until they moved back to Hawaii, and recently they moved back to California and I would watch him all day. He is now 8 years old.
Because of my education background, I am also very willing to tutor kids. I know a lot about the way children learn and ways to get them motivated. Please contact me if you have any questions. :)
