I have mostly cared for children in educational settings as I have diplomas in Montessori Education, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 years old. I also have 16 Credits in Early Childhood Development along with my CDA. I also have earned CPR and First Aid Certificates at different stages throughout my life. I have set up and run my own preschool classrooms and curriculum. At the moment I can only work from my own house as I have three little ones of my own. Throughout my years of experience working with children, I have learned the importance of treating each child as an individual. All children are not the same nor should they be expected to learn and grow in the same way, at the same rate. As a caregiver it is important to have the ability to care for all aspects of a child, not only to educate them academically, but also to teach self respect, confidence and life lessons. I believe it is of great importance to always discipline a child in a positive calm manner (when necessary) so that they can grow in confidence, understanding that we all will make mistakes and it doesn't have to be a fearful or negative experience but something we can build on. A happy child will always be ready to explore the many new and exciting wonders of their world. In my experience, I have found caring for children a challenging and rewarding job. We share lots of laughs and fun every day and now that I'm a Mom myself, I really know the importance of light-hearted fun and the great lessons that can be learned from the simplest of experiences.
