I have been very happy to be part of some amazing children's lives and am currently looking for opportunities for sharing my experience and talents closer to my home neighborhood (Cole Valley, SF). I'm comfortable with infants through high schoolers as my experience includes daily care as a baby nanny through high school level curriculum development and classroom instruction. My approach is one of meeting children where they are; I observe and participate in their world while simultaneously keeping the caregiver's mindfulness for safety, long-term learning, and promotion of appropriate standards given parental and cultural norms.
I would be happy to be contacted by families looking for infant care as my talents and experience with the very young have proven to be valuable in many of those "new mom" moments and I enjoy being of service.
For toddlers, I offer a creative and intelligent perspective as we do imaginative play, experience the natural world, sing and play music, share storytime, take care of our home, enjoy healthy meals, and appreciate daily routines.
I am an experienced Elementary Math and Reading tutor and am happy to provide childcare on a fun peer level, and I would also be excited to foster skills and interest if there are academic challenges or just everyday schoolwork that needs some extra attention.
Other than childcare, my professional life includes non-profit management, yoga teaching, and fiber arts design. I believe that my own creative upbringing has allowed me to gain a wide variety of skills and I look forward to sharing them with your family!
