Hello!

Toddlers and young children are a joy for me to care for, because of their emotive communication. My favorite part about communicating with newly developing children is speaking through many pathways: songs, spoken language, activities, emotions, gestures, etc. I admire toddlers' full presence of mind on whatever they are doing in the present moment.

Currently, I have a part-time position with a 22-month-old toddler near Greenlake; she is engaging and creative. I am looking to find an additional part-time position caring for a toddler or early school-aged child. Please see my availability.

I have five years of experience caring for toddlers, children, and youth. I've mentored and co-created activities with 1-year-olds to 17-year-olds, led group activities with classrooms of early school-aged children, and assisted children and youth with developmental disabilities in improving their life-skills.

With toddlers, I encourage large motor skill activities like visiting playgrounds (or the Zoomazium), nurturing the beginnings of creative play with stuffed animals with personality, and encouraging an interest in healthy food by assisting young ones to participate in mealtime prep.
