From January through the end of April I was a Student Teacher at Bain Elementary School in the Laramie County District 1, Cheyenne, WY in a fourth grade classroom. During the 2011 summer I was a nanny in Colorado Springs. During the summer I cared for one school aged child, monitored child in workbooks and playing games, planned activities with child, such as laser tag, playing board games. I was volunteer for Big Brothers, Big Sisters and had a little sister that I would spend time with her once a week, for two hours, over a sixth month period and enjoyed activities such as going to the movies, bowling, watching movies, playing video games, making crafts, and assisting with homework. I was also a volunteer Head Start Preschool in Laramie, WY. While volunteering I assisted teachers in the 3-year-old classroom by assisting students develop their fine motor skills with art projects, listened and guided preschoolers in reading and reasoning activities, monitored students during play time, and designed lesson plans for students on using fine, gross motor skills and reasoning strategies.
