Child Care Experience:
I started as a mothers helper for my neighbor when I was 12 and then I babysat in Jr. High and High School. I have been a full-time nanny/sitter for the past 10+ years in the metro west area including but not limited to Dover, Needham, Sherborn, Natick, Chestnut Hill, Weston ETC but I have about 20 years experience caring for children of all ages ranging from 4 months to 14 years old as well as four or more at one time. I have always enjoyed taking children to their respective activities, playgrounds, museums, reading with them and doing arts and crafts as well as other various child related things. I have been given the opportunity to get the experience caring for children for overnights for as little as one to as many as seven. My references have referred me to and have been hired by out of state people who are in town for weddings as well as entertained children during church events and other large gatherings. I have been asked to take children to their doctors and dentist appointments too. Over the years, I have learned and feel comfortable networking and planning different activities for children like play dates, outings, dance or a gym class, or just their after school activities. I'm able to make lunches and dinners as well as help them with their homework if need be or giving them a bath and putting them in their pj's before you come home.
The philosophy that I have learned over the years is having the children take part in cleaning and doing other small various tasks around the house with me will better prepare them for when they are out in the "real world" when the time comes as well as make them feel helpful and happy. I am also firm when there is a need for it. I grew up being the type of person that will leave the house the same way as it has been found and always clean up after any mess and activities that the children and I do during the day.
Household Management Experience:
I have had the opportunity to train and learn how to have a household run smoothly over the years by running errands for you to make any free time you have spent with family, (i.e. grocery shopping, dry cleaners, returning stuff, making the appointments and waiting for repair guys and so on.) Many of the families have asked for the children's laundry.
