I just graduated from Loyola University, Chicago with a degree in Journalism and minors in English and social work. I moved to Denver with boyfriend who is pursuing his law degree. During my college career, I was involved with the Chicago Public School system as a tutor and mentor. Before that, I was a cabin counselor at Camp Tecumseh YMCA in Brookston, IN for five years. I was responsible for a cabin of ten 8-year-old girls who were experiencing their first overnight camp experience. Working at camp gave me a deep understanding of children and an appreciation for their creativity, energy, and spirit. While in high school, I babysat for several children in my neighborhood and tutored a girl with Down Syndrome. No matter where I go, I always find myself drawn to jobs or volunteer work involving children. I hope to do the same in Denver.
