Hello! My name is Erika, and I am hoping to get more information from you, to see if I meet the criteria you are looking for in a Care Provider for your child(ren).

Here is some information about me:

I have been a Family Child Care Certified Home Daycare Provider since February 2009 for the Marine Corps, at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Prior to this, I worked in a daycare center in the Infant, 1-year-old, and 2-year-old rooms, as well as having had babysat since the age of 12 years old.

I am currently separating from my Husband and moving back home to the DeLand area to be with family. I am the amazingly proud new mother to a 2-month-old little boy.

I am up to date on both my CPR and First Aid Certifications, and have previously taken Medication Courses through the Corps. My background check was just completed through the Military, but you are more than welcome to run one of your own if you would like.

From working in a Florida Daycare years ago, I have what is called my 40 hours, which are training requirements through the state of Florida. I have the following training certifications: Introduction to Child Care, Behavioral and Observation and Screening, Early Literacy for Children Birth to Three, Basic Guidance and Discipline, and Computer Technology for Childcare Professionals.

I am a nonsmoking, dedicated provider and am looking for a Full-Time Position in which I am able to bring my son with me. I am not one to just sit children in front of the television, but instead stimulate their minds and creativity with books, outside time, arts and crafts and independent play.
