I am a mother to a wonderful 8-month-old little boy, who is my pride and joy. Currently, I keep two wonderful children in my home full-time. I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2010 where I received a Bachelor's degree in Human Services. In addition, I have also received my Associate's degree in Applied Arts and Science with a concentration in Elementary Education. Along with my educational accomplishments and experiences, I have worked as a Summer Camp Counselor and Childcare Coordinator in the Before and After School Program at the local YMCA for the past 5 years. Some of the responsibilities my job entails include caring for children between the ages of 4 and 12, assisting them with their studies, developing daily organized educational activities, transporting children in a company vehicle, modeling strong character traits for the children, etc. In addition, I have tutored children of all ages for the past 7 years.

Throughout my early teenage years, my step-mother ran a daycare out of our home for children between the ages of newborn to school age. I strongly believe that my passion for working with children began with the experience of being raised around a variety of children. Working with children is such a rewarding career. I adore children and couldn't imagine not working in the childcare field.
