Hello! I started out babysitting around the age of 13 for neighbors and slowly moved out from there. Over the years I've progressed to doing more consistent childcare jobs, more hours, regularly scheduled, throughout the week, nannying. I love kids so becoming a nanny has been a very rewarding experience. I feel very lucky to have worked with so many different ages, because it has given me a lot of experience. It's always been something that I really love to do and I'm always looking for opportunities to work. I've done everything from potty training to tutoring. I like interacting with the kids; crafts, playing, cooking, anything really (I don't believe sitting the kids down in front of the TV as an effective childcare method, let's go outside and do something!). I have lots of energy and this is a great place to put it! I'm very attentive and responsible, nothing goes by the wayside and everything that needs to get done is done. Over the years, I've had long term families and I have never been dropped from anyone's service. I really do enjoy getting to know the family and children, that overall is my favorite part of the job. I am a high school graduate and am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. Taking online classes has given me a lot of opportunities to work and a very flexible schedule. Taking developmental and growth classes have actually aided me with my job and taught me the best way to communicate and teach children at different age levels. I love working with kids, in high school I did a lot of volunteer work at elementary schools and at my church; field days, activities, etc. I have experience with infants all the way up to teenagers! In every job I always make sure there is a mutual understanding and commitment between myself and my employer; communication enables me to be the most proficient at my job.
