I am looking for a family in need of childcare. I have excellent references and a resume upon request. I have provided childcare for several families. I am 19 years old and have always had a strong passion for children. I graduated high school in 2011, I plan on attending online school this Fall. I spend almost all of my free time with family and friends. I became an auntie in November 2011, it was the happiest moment of my life, my nephew is my pride and joy. I have been providing childcare since I was 13, I have provided care for 9 children at a time, ages ranging from premature newborn - 12 years old, I have also worked at an after school program as a supervisor for their after school childcare program with kids from kindergarten - 5th grade. I have worked with children of special needs and disabilities. The outlook I have on children is that not one child is just like another, and for each child you have to be able to maintain yourself to help satisfy their wants and needs. Having a good background of the development stages of a child is really important, especially when it comes to understanding why a child might do or act a certain way. I think arts and crafts help a child explain themselves, no matter what age their creativity and imagination is fascinating. In providing childcare having a great attitude and personality is a high quality, being loving and caring as if you were a "mommy figure" and being patient and kind. Having the skills to be understanding and the ability to know how and when to say "no", having the awareness of any situation and growing a trusting connection, allowing your bond with child and parent to grow so the child is benefited in years of growing up is very important. I have studied Child Development Prenatal to Infancy, Child Development Toddlers to Preschoolers, and Assistant Child Care Teacher Certification, I was also involved in the Cooperative Education Program, I have taken Life Guarding, and through all of these courses I have become CPR certified. I am also trained in SIDS reduction. My calling in life is to help children, I understand the great responsibility and trust that is placed in my care when I am looking after others children. To me it is such an honor and I won't let anyone down. I hope to hear from you soon.
