I am Emily, a 24-year-old teaching graduate assistant in the Music Therapy Department. I received my Bachelor's in Music Therapy from ISU and specialize in working with children. As a board certified music therapist, I have had the privilege of working with children with a variety of needs in the special education setting, hospitals, and summer camp programs.

As a pediatric specialist, I have worked with and cared for children presenting with various needs including autism, sensory integration and processing difficulties, speech and language impairments, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, developmental delays, behavioral and emotional disorders, and various medical needs.

In addition to my clinical experience, I also have extensive experience in babysitting. I began caring for children when I was 10 years old, and started a babysitting "business" during my junior high and high school years. By the end of high school, I was babysitting for 15 different families in my neighborhood during the summers and school year. In my collegiate years, I babysat (and still do) 2-3 times during the week for my college professor's son. In the summer of 2009, I cared for two girls from May-August, preparing meals and snacks, daily structured school work, various fun activities, and driving them to different summer events.

I am currently finishing my Master's degree at ISU and have availability most mornings and evenings in addition to open availability on the weekends.
