I have been watching children for the past 10 years, starting with baby-sitting kids (ages 2-7) in my neighborhood and working on youth staff at my summer camp (ages 3-7) every year.

I attended UNC-Chapel Hill (graduated May 2010) and while there worked in the nursery (ages 0-3) at the Chapel Hill Community Church from August 2008-March 2011. I also worked at the Morehead Planetarium After School Program (for elementary students K-5th) as a Program Educator from August 2009 to May 2010.

I began full-time farm work at Bluebird Meadows after graduation, and also started and continue to baby-sit a wonderful (now) 3-year-old at the Carrboro Farmers' Market. I became a regular care giver to a family with three young children (8 months, 3 years, 6 years) last winter. I have had some care giving experience watching a 4-month-old as well and my farm bosses just had a baby in August.

The 2012 farm season is starting up again so I will now have much less time to babysit. Definitely not regular hours, and only occasionally on weekends.

I love children and I think their healthy development is not something to be taken lightly. I love teaching kids while I take care of them and enjoy those beautiful moments when they grasp an idea that is totally new to them.
