Emily M. - San Diego Nanny

My name is Emily and I am a 20-year-old college student. I have been taking care of kids for the past six years. I have had two professional jobs and have been a reliable, fun, and trustworthy babysitter and nanny to many kids.

I am currently looking for a Spring break/Summer time and weekend position. I would prefer kids that are a little older, between 5-10.

I live in Tierrasanta, and I am really looking forward to getting to work and meeting families I can potentially work for.

I have spent my past two summers working in a youth center, and have found it to be one of the most rewarding jobs that I have ever had. I love kids, and I love taking care of them. From spending my last few summers with them, I have been able to come to the realization that I want to make working with children a career.

I cook, which is another passion of mine, and am willing to do dishes, laundry, and grocery shopping.

I am looking for something part-time, but would really love to see it become long term with lasting connections. I want to be a part of your child's life and really show support and care.

I am responsible, dependable and fun. I have great references from my last nanny position and from other jobs I have had. Most of the baby-sitting I get is from word of mouth, but I am looking to broaden my experience and I promise I will not disappoint you.

I have a car, so transportation isn't a problem. I am not a stay-at-home kind of person and love to get the kids that I watch outside! The beach, the zoo, a hiking trail, anything we can come up with and we are out! It makes for nice tired kids when you get home, which parents seem to love.

I am willing to travel on vacations, during my school breaks of course, and help at birthday parties. I will do basically anything that needs to be done. I am happy to help even if it doesn't pertain directly to the child(ren).

In short, I love what I do. I love kids and I love working with them.

Reading, cooking, writing, doing gymnastics, dancing, going to zoos and parks, as well as museums, swimming, bike riding, and basically anything that gets me up and going, and is fun and engaging.
